Hold on to your rocket boosters! SpaceX, yes the rocket-launching SpaceX, is going full throttle on the Tesla Cybertruck craze, snatching up 1,279 of the shiny (and controversial) vehicles within one quarter.
That’s more than 18% of all the Cybertrucks registered in the U.S. during that time, according to the folks at Bloomberg and S&P Global Mobility. It’s like Elon Musk decided that his spaceship crews need a rugged, stainless-steel ride to zip around the launch pad and beyond.
But wait—there’s more! His other companies in the Musk-verse grabbed an additional 60 Cybertrucks to add to the futuristic fleet. So, what’s the deal? Is this a clever marketing strategy or just a massive game of space-age bumper cars?
Either way, if you thought Cybertrucks were just meme fodder, think again. Even rocket scientists need a cool way to flex their ride, and who better to do it than the man with a vision as grand as Mars? So, what do you think? Is this the future of transportation or just another chapter in Elon’s quirky tale?
