Ah, Google Photos—our trusty digital shoebox for memories—just pulled a fast one by deciding that visual gaps between days were so last year. Remember when those little breaks made it easy for your brain to process, like a delicious intermission between episodes of your favorite show?
Well, it seems the big G thought we needed a persistent bar at the top of our screens instead. Why, Google? Are we living in a dystopian future where photos have to blend into a seamless blur? But hold on, if you’re not ready to dive into that suffocating photo soup, you can actually reintroduce those gaps.
Just head over to the three vertical dots next to that annoying floating bar and select “Show dates in grid.” Voilà! You can once again return to a time when you could easily track your photo-taking adventures.
So, are we happy about this change, or just nostalgic for days when our photo streams didn’t look like they were on a never-ending treadmill? Let’s discuss—do you prefer the gaps or the seamless flow?
