So, Dell’s COO Jeff Clarke waded into the ever-pressing RAM shortage discussion recently, and spoiler alert: he’s betting on getting the parts they asked for.
Now, that sounds as easy as finding a unicorn in a technology convention, doesn’t it? Sure, Jeff, but what if the RAM-making triad—Micron, SK Hynix, and whoever else is pulling the strings—decides to go rogue and mixes up the order like it’s a game of tech Jenga?
Micron’s already playing hard to get with consumers, while SK Hynix is sold out until the cows come home (or into the New Year, whichever is closer). So, while Dell advocates for a healthy supply, we might be left wondering if they’ll show up for the party or just send a snazzy card in the mail.
