Hold onto your keyboards, folks! Google is officially giving macOS 12, aka Monterey, the boot by the end of this year. Yes, you heard it right! Come July 28th, with the release of Chrome 151, if you’re still clinging to Monterey like a lifebuoy during a storm, it’s time to start planning your upgrade to macOS 13, Ventura.

But don’t panic just yet! Older versions of Chrome will still be rocking the boat on your Monterey machine post-July. Just know that updates will be as rare as a good WiFi signal when you need it.

Now, I’m sure there are a few Monterey die-hards out there cringing at the thought of their browser going obsolete. It’s like being asked to upgrade from a flip phone to a fancy smartphone while still trying to figure out where the “Any” key is! But modern tech waits for no one, and neither does Google.

So here’s the takeaway: time to either embrace change and jump to Ventura, or get cozy with an outdated browser while the rest of us surf the tech waves. What’s your move? Are you ready to upgrade or are you team Monterey for life?
