In a galaxy not so far away—well, actually, Las Vegas—Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang rolled out a pair of BDX droids during his keynote speech that had us all wishing we lived in the Star Wars universe.

These little robos may not be ready to do your laundry just yet, but they sure know how to steal the spotlight! Huang was all about discussing the bright future of AI and robotics, but let’s be honest: we were all just googling ‘how to adopt a droid’.

Imagine the possibilities: a cute, chrome-plated buddy that may or may not take over the kitchen next to your blender. Sounds great, right? While we may still live in a world where droids cannot fold towels, it’s hard not to feel like we’re one step closer to the sci-fi dream of living with sassy robots that make R2D2 look like an oversized alarm clock.

So, what’s next? Are we getting our own C-3PO to help with social skills? Who knows, but let’s keep our fingers crossed for more adorable bots and less laundry chores!
