Good news for all the procrastinators and time-wasters out there—Google Meet is rolling out waiting rooms! Yes, you heard that right—apparently, Zoom fatigue wasn’t quite enough, and now we need to polish our patience skills too.

Now, before your meeting even starts, you can twiddle your thumbs, check your email for the umpteenth time, or maybe even engage in that thrilling pastime known as watching paint dry. Google has decided that it’s important to give hosts the option to enable waiting rooms ahead of meetings, so they can enjoy the sight of you tapping your foot in anticipation.

But hey, at least now you’ll have an official place to contemplate your life choices before the meeting begins! Whether it’s pretending to be busy or mentally preparing your witty commentary, those extra moments of waiting may just provide the zen we didn’t know we needed.

So, will you embrace the waiting game, or are you ready to rebel against this new feature and just storm in on your meeting unannounced like a rock star? Let us know in the comments!
