Well, folks, it looks like Google Tables is packing its bags and closing up shop faster than you can say “workflow optimization.” That’s right! Google’s attempt to take on Airtable will officially be no more after December 16th. You probably didn’t even know it existed—after all, it practically slipped into the tech void unnoticed.

Launched from Google’s Area 120 incubator (where ideas go to hatch and then flop spectacularly), Google Tables was supposed to be a sleek solution to your project management headaches. But it seems that even Google couldn’t whip up enough interest in this tool, leaving it to wonder why it wasn’t the popular kid on the school’s playground of productivity apps.

So, what does this mean for you? Well, if you’ve been secretly hoarding those Google Tables templates and counting on them for your organizational prowess, I hate to break it to you, you might need to pivot to something like Airtable or, I don’t know, some good old-fashioned pen and paper.

In a world where tech giants are constantly launching and shutting down products, let this be a gentle reminder: Always keep your digital options open, and don’t get too attached to the flavor of the month. In this game of tech roulette, today’s hottest tool could be tomorrow’s ghost. So, what productivity app are you betting on next?
