One million robots—no, I’m not talking about a sci-fi movie or your over-caffeinated neighbor trying to fix their lawnmower. This is the impressive milestone Amazon just hit, and let me tell you, it’s both fascinating and a little creepy.

Yes, folks, Amazon’s shiny new Vulcan robot is part of that million, and I don’t know about you, but I’m half-expecting to see these robots delivering my Prime packages in a futuristic robot battle royale.

Currently, Amazon employs around 1.56 million humans. So, if the trend continues, it looks like we might need to start thinking about our future overlords. Are robots coming for our jobs, or are they just here to help us enjoy more quality time with our couch and Netflix?

While AI has been infiltrating warehouses faster than I can click ‘Add to Cart’ on a new gadget, many are left wondering how this affects the human workforce. Will we humans be obsolete soon, or is there room in this robotic world for us to coexist? Let me know what you think—are we entering a brave new world or just gearing up to binge-watch sci-fi nostalgia?

In the spirit of transparency, I’ll admit: I’m not against robots helping out, as long as they don’t develop a taste for the finer things in life—like, say, our chocolate hoard.
