Picture this: you’re Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, strolling into I/O with hopes of shaking hands with the future of AI. Instead, you find yourself battling a malfunctioning demo of Google Flow while a crowd of eager tech enthusiasts watches in semi-horror. Talk about a party crasher!

Brin, who’s been mostly ‘retired’ since the pandemic — like many of us who have embraced the couch — hopped back into the tech ring just in time to witness the chaos. Google Flow, pitched as the coolest filmmaking tool since sliced bread, was supposed to dazzle. Instead, it played hard to get, likely taking inspiration from your WiFi connection on a bad day.

As Brin fumbled through the glitches, it reminded us all that AI might be getting smarter, but it still needs to learn a thing or two about stage presence. After all, tech that can potentially run our lives should probably have its act together when demonstrating, right?

So here’s a thought: Will the tech gods allow us to streamline this process, or are we destined to tune in for more ‘live demos’ that feel like a cringe-worthy sitcom? Stay tuned, and let’s hope Brin gets a do-over next time — preferably without the technical hiccups.
